A short film in which a man rebels against the system by doing exactly what the system wants. And an excuse for Theo to wear a weird dog mask - who said film wasn’t glamorous?
This film did have a personal element to its creation, with Theo and I having met while studying psychology in Nottingham. The initial spark for the idea actually came from there in fact, specifically the controversial research into conformity in the 60s that we learned about. Psychology in general has such a strange dark side to it that a comedy like this felt all too natural.
The film has had an amazingly positive reception and, following a series of kind reviews, it received a staff pick on Vimeo. This was unbelievably great news, needless to say.
You can read an interview with us at the following link, but - fair warning - Theo… was kind of just there when they were answering questions. - https://directorsnotes.com/2019/09/18/ian-bousher-theo-gee-aping/
